About Us

We can make a difference

In a world filled with too much selfishness. We need to turn the focus from ourselves and put it on other people. We all have the potential to make a difference in other people’s lives. We often make the excuses that we are too busy, do not have the resources, someone else will help them, or "I just don’t feel like it". Imagine a world where we put other’s needs in front of our own; a place where those needs were a priority to us. Envision the impact we could make in our communities. Imagine if we all thought we could make a difference. Better yet, if we thought I am a difference maker...

The I am a difference maker project is to bring awareness to the needs of people all around us. Sometimes we go through life with blinders on when there are obvious struggles right next to us that we don’t see. This project will help open our eyes and make us more aware of ways we can serve other people. We were all blessed with gifts and talents. We now have to use those gifts to serve others and make this world a better place.

Mission Statement: Bringing awareness to the importance of serving others and creating opportunities that allow us to make a difference

  1. Appreciation Week - A week where we take time to let certain people in our lives know that we appreciate them. Each day of the week we will write a note, send a text, or make a phone call to a specific person or people that have made a difference in our lives. Each specific group will also be recognized on our social media accounts so make sure you tag them so they can be acknowledged.
  2. Awareness Week - A week where we focus on raising awareness about the mistreating of people we see happening in our schools and communities.
  3. Clothing Drive - An ongoing project to collect articles of clothing for those in need in our community. Clothes will be donated to local charities and underprivileged students.
  4. Door to Door - Go door to door and spread the “I am a difference maker project”. Instead of asking for donations we will give them a small gift and talk about the project.
  5. Homeless Baskets (Blessing Gifts) - Ongoing project in which we make baskets full of necessities such as socks, toothbrushes, deodorant etc. and keep these baskets in our cars to give to any homeless/impoverished people we might come into contact with.
  6. Kindness Week - A week where we focus on the simple act of kindness. Each day consists of a different “challenge” that has to do with focusing on a specific aspect of what it means to be kind.
    Monday: Compliment day
Tuesday: Random act of kindness day
    Wednesday: Appreciation card day
    Thursday: Encouragement day
    Friday: Free Snack day
  7. Pay for the Person behind You Week - One day this week, we will pay for the person behind us at a fast food restaurant.
  8. Project 365 - A project in which the challenge is to commit a random act of kindness every day of the year. You will have a project 365 journal to record whatever act of kindness you did that day.
  9. Promoting Positivity - This is a week-long project where the goal is to not let anything negative come out of our mouths for the entire week and to be encouraging and supportive to everyone we come in to contact with.
  10. Special Needs Project - Finding ways to get involved with the special needs programs at your school and within your community. Write notes, give gifts, and spend time with those with special needs.
  11. Spread the Project Week - A week where we try and spread the IAADM project to people we come in contact with.
  12. Thankful Week - A week to focus on the people and things in our lives that we are thankful for. Let people know that you’re thankful for them and why.
  13. Toy Drive - Ongoing project to collect and deliver toys and other donations specifically for underprivileged children.
  14. $2 Bill Project - A project to bring awareness of the nearly 3 billion people in the world that lives on $2 a day. The $2 bill will be a reminder of the blessings we have in life and the difference we can make in the lives of those less fortunate. The $2 bills will be stamped with the IAADM logo and web address so when people receive a $2 bill they can learn more about the project and post their experience.
